Today we've got some exciting news to share! Our team is proud to announce a new product from Crunchy Data called Crunchy Bridge.

Crunchy Bridge is a database as a service, fully managed by the Postgres experts at Crunchy Data, that allows your team to focus on your application and not your database. This new service runs 100% open source, unmodified Postgres, bringing the greatness of Postgres to developers. 

Crunchy Bridge goes beyond the basics of other managed Postgres services and delivers new functionality including:

• A richer set of Postgres extensions (there are more than 250 in the Postgres ecosystem)
• Python/R embedded directly in your database, providing the ability for ML/AI directly on your data. Leverage Python against your database including SciPy, NumPy and Pandas.
• Cross-cloud (no longer locked into a single cloud vendor)

Deployed to your cloud of choice, with the trusted support of Crunchy Data experts, users have the option of self-managed Postgres (Crunchy PostgreSQL, Crunchy HA PostgreSQL, Crunchy PostgreSQL for Kubernetes) or a fully-managed cloud offering.

As of today, Crunchy Bridge is available on Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure, with more to come. Crunchy Bridge is fully self-service and requires no annual contracts. Pricing is simple - the instance you select and the amount of storage, charged on a monthly basis and prorated for usage during that month.
